Full Biochemistry

The Full Biochemistry Profile is a focused test that evaluates a wide range of biochemical markers related to your organ function, metabolic health, and electrolyte balance. This panel provides a comprehensive look at key aspects of your body’s health, including kidney and liver function, muscle enzyme activity, and cholesterol levels. Who is this panel for? This panel is ideal for individuals looking to assess their overall metabolic health and organ performance, particularly for those managing conditions such as liver or kidney disorders, high cholesterol, or metabolic imbalances. It’s also well-suited for routine health monitoring or if you have specific concerns about your electrolyte balance or cholesterol levels. What’s different? Unlike the Full Biochemistry, Hematology & CRP Profile, this panel does not include hematological markers (like Full Blood Count) or inflammation markers (like C-Reactive Protein). Instead, it focuses entirely on biochemical parameters, making it more specific to metabolic and organ function without assessing blood cell health or inflammation status. This makes the Full Biochemistry Profile slightly less comprehensive but ideal for targeted assessment of biochemical health. When to get tested This test is recommended for routine health assessments or if you are concerned about kidney, liver, or cholesterol levels. It’s particularly useful for patients experiencing symptoms like fatigue, muscle pain, or changes in metabolism. Is fasting required? Yes, fasting for 8-12 hours is typically required to ensure accurate measurements, especially for glucose and lipid levels. Key benefits The Full Biochemistry Profile offers a thorough evaluation of key biochemical markers, including liver and kidney function, cholesterol levels, and electrolyte balance. This test is beneficial for monitoring general health or detecting early signs of metabolic or organ dysfunction, allowing for more informed treatment and preventive care strategies.

No, there is no need for a doctor’s request to book. However, it’s recommended to discuss your symptoms with your GP.
No lab test is 100% accurate. However, medical testing that takes place in certified laboratories in the U.S. is performed by trained professionals and follows rigorous quality assurance standards with extensive oversight. You can trust the data generated by today’s exacting medical tests. However, test results are most reliable when used in conjunction with other meaningful information, such as your medical and family histories and a physical exam. Additionally, there should be open communication between you and your doctor or other members of your health care team.
Turnaround time for most of the tests is up to 24 hours, however the tests such as genetic, virology, STI’s… will take from 5 days to 2 weeks
Typically, a blood sample is taken by inserting a needle into a vein, usually in your arm. Before your blood is drawn, an elastic band is tied around your upper arm to increase blood in the veins, and the puncture location is wiped clean with an antiseptic. A blood draw using a needle may cause a temporary sting. The blood draw normally lasts for less than a minute.
