Full Biochemistry &Haematology + CPR

The Full Biochemistry, Hematology & CRP Profile expands on the standard biochemistry and hematology assessment by incorporating C-Reactive Protein (CRP), a key marker for inflammation in the body. This comprehensive test evaluates your metabolic health, organ function, blood composition, and now adds an important insight into your body’s inflammatory status, which is crucial for detecting hidden infections, chronic inflammation, or risks associated with cardiovascular disease. Who is this panel for? This panel is especially beneficial for individuals looking for a thorough health assessment, particularly those managing conditions where inflammation plays a key role, such as heart disease, autoimmune disorders, or chronic infections. It’s also suitable for routine health evaluations, especially for those who want a deeper understanding of their inflammation levels alongside their metabolic and blood health. What’s different? Unlike the Full Biochemistry and Hematology Profile, this panel includes C-Reactive Protein (CRP), a vital marker of inflammation. Elevated CRP levels can signal underlying inflammation due to infections, chronic illnesses, or cardiovascular risks. This additional marker helps in identifying hidden health issues that may not be detected through biochemistry and blood counts alone. When to get tested Consider this test if you are concerned about inflammation or if you are managing conditions that could be impacted by chronic inflammation, such as heart disease, arthritis, or diabetes. It’s also valuable for anyone experiencing symptoms such as unexplained fatigue, joint pain, or other signs of potential inflammation. Is fasting required? Yes, fasting for 8-12 hours is typically required for this panel, particularly for accurate readings of glucose, cholesterol, and other metabolic markers. Key benefits The Full Biochemistry, Hematology & CRP Profile provides a comprehensive evaluation of your health, including organ function, blood cell counts, and crucially, your body’s inflammatory response. This added focus on inflammation offers a more detailed and proactive approach to detecting and managing chronic conditions, allowing for earlier intervention and more precise treatment strategies.

No, there is no need for a doctor’s request to book. However, it’s recommended to discuss your symptoms with your GP.
No lab test is 100% accurate. However, medical testing that takes place in certified laboratories in the U.S. is performed by trained professionals and follows rigorous quality assurance standards with extensive oversight. You can trust the data generated by today’s exacting medical tests. However, test results are most reliable when used in conjunction with other meaningful information, such as your medical and family histories and a physical exam. Additionally, there should be open communication between you and your doctor or other members of your health care team.
Turnaround time for most of the tests is up to 24 hours, however the tests such as genetic, virology, STI’s… will take from 5 days to 2 weeks
Typically, a blood sample is taken by inserting a needle into a vein, usually in your arm. Before your blood is drawn, an elastic band is tied around your upper arm to increase blood in the veins, and the puncture location is wiped clean with an antiseptic. A blood draw using a needle may cause a temporary sting. The blood draw normally lasts for less than a minute.
