Rheumatoid II

The rheumatoid profile II is an extensive blood test designed to provide a comprehensive assessment of various markers associated with autoimmune and inflammatory conditions, including rheumatoid arthritis and systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). This profile aids in diagnosing and monitoring these conditions by evaluating a broad range of relevant antibodies and inflammatory markers. Who is this profile for? This test is intended for individuals presenting with symptoms of autoimmune disorders, such as joint pain, swelling, fatigue, and skin rashes. It is also suitable for those who have been diagnosed with autoimmune diseases and need a detailed evaluation to guide treatment and management. What can be detected? The rheumatoid profile II includes a variety of tests that help identify and monitor autoimmune and inflammatory conditions: Comprehensive assessment: By analyzing multiple antibodies and complement levels, the profile helps in diagnosing autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, and other related disorders. Inflammatory markers: Provides insights into inflammation levels and immune system activity, crucial for understanding the extent of disease activity and response to treatment. Autoantibodies: Evaluates specific autoantibodies that can indicate various autoimmune conditions, helping to differentiate between different types of autoimmune diseases and guide appropriate treatment strategies. When to get tested This profile is recommended for individuals with symptoms suggesting autoimmune or inflammatory conditions, such as persistent joint pain, muscle weakness, or systemic symptoms. It is also useful for those already diagnosed with autoimmune disorders who require comprehensive monitoring. Fasting requirements Fasting is not required for this test. However, following any specific instructions provided by your healthcare provider is important to ensure accurate results. Key benefits The rheumatoid profile II offers a thorough evaluation of a wide range of markers related to autoimmune and inflammatory diseases. This detailed analysis helps in the accurate diagnosis of complex conditions, facilitates effective monitoring of disease progression, and assists in tailoring personalized treatment plans, ultimately contributing to better patient outcomes and management of autoimmune disorders.

No, there is no need for a doctor’s request to book. However, it’s recommended to discuss your symptoms with your GP.
No lab test is 100% accurate. However, medical testing that takes place in certified laboratories in the U.S. is performed by trained professionals and follows rigorous quality assurance standards with extensive oversight. You can trust the data generated by today’s exacting medical tests. However, test results are most reliable when used in conjunction with other meaningful information, such as your medical and family histories and a physical exam. Additionally, there should be open communication between you and your doctor or other members of your health care team.
Turnaround time for most of the tests is up to 24 hours, however the tests such as genetic, virology, STI’s… will take from 5 days to 2 weeks
Typically, a blood sample is taken by inserting a needle into a vein, usually in your arm. Before your blood is drawn, an elastic band is tied around your upper arm to increase blood in the veins, and the puncture location is wiped clean with an antiseptic. A blood draw using a needle may cause a temporary sting. The blood draw normally lasts for less than a minute.
